Razor vs Spectre

How this matchup plays

Trying to drain Spectre's damage with Static Link often feels like the right move, but she has too many ways to simply disengage. Spectral Dagger lets her run through terrain to easily break the link, and she's happy to do it. Razor needs a target to stay put and fight him, but that's not how Spectre plays. She wants short, decisive engagements on her terms. Later on, Haunt creates so much chaos that Razor can struggle to maintain a link on any single target, while her illusions apply their own effects and break up his team's positioning.

Razor's goal is to group up with his team and push down objectives before Spectre gets her core items. He can be very strong in these mid-game fights. The problem is that Spectre doesn't have to take those fights. Instead, she can use Haunt to find a pickoff on a vulnerable support across the map, stalling Razor's push and earning gold. Once Spectre is farmed, she can ignore Razor completely and instantly delete his backline. He's left as a tanky hero with no one left to protect and no way to force the real fight he wants.
