Razor vs Tusk

How this matchup plays

Getting initiated on by Tusk becomes a lot less scary when Razor is around. His entire game of jumping in with Snowball and Walrus Punch is complicated by Static Link. If Razor gets his link off, Tusk loses his damage and becomes an easy target. However, Tusk isn't helpless; Ice Shards can still be used to create space or block Razor’s path. A well-timed Snowball can also be used to save an ally that Razor has targeted, turning the fight into a matter of timing and who acts first.

Throughout the game, this means both heroes tend to respect each other. Tusk often has more success ganking Razor's teammates and avoiding a direct confrontation. Razor, in turn, will position himself to peel for his team, ready to drain damage from anyone Tusk jumps. The fight then becomes less about which of the two heroes is stronger, and more about which hero’s team is better able to follow up on their specific strengths. Tusk brings initiation and save, while Razor offers damage drain and control, leading to a fairly even exchange.
