Razor vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Struggling to control creep waves or jungle camps is a common experience for Razor in this matchup. His core defensive tool, Static Link, is designed to steal attack damage from enemies who want to stand and fight. Against Zeus, this ability offers little protection. Zeus deals his damage through spells from well outside of link range, allowing him to constantly chip away at Razor's health without committing to a fight. This constant pressure makes it difficult for Razor to establish a foothold in lane or safely farm, often forcing him to play from behind.

Razor's game plan revolves around surviving until he can purchase a Black King Bar. Before that, Zeus can be a major problem in teamfights, softening up Razor's whole team from the back lines. Once Razor has his spell immunity, though, the matchup can flip. He will typically try to close the distance with a Blink Dagger and run Zeus down during that window of immunity. The game often hinges on whether Razor can reach this timing before the constant magical pressure from Zeus creates too large of a gold and map control deficit.
