Shadow Shaman vs Tinker

How this matchup plays

Catching Tinker out is the entire game plan, and Shadow Shaman is designed for it. Hex provides an instant disable that prevents Tinker from using Rearm or his Blink Dagger to escape. This is often followed by Shackles, a channeled stun long enough to secure the kill even without much help. A hero like Tinker, who relies on channeling spells to function and stay mobile, has almost no way to play around this kind of immediate, long-duration lockdown. He can't get his spells off, and he can't get away.

This dynamic shapes the whole match. Once Shadow Shaman gets a Blink Dagger, Tinker can no longer safely defend towers or farm exposed lanes. A single successful gank shuts down Tinker's farm and map pressure. Later on, Mass Serpent Wards create a siege that Tinker cannot easily clear without putting himself in danger of being caught. Tinker needs to get ahead very early to afford defensive items, but Shadow Shaman's purpose is to find him and make sure that never happens.
