Sniper vs Terrorblade

How this matchup plays

Trying to siege high ground as Terrorblade gets incredibly frustrating against a Sniper. Your Metamorphosis gives you damage, but you still have to walk through a minefield of Shrapnel charges to get anywhere near him. Every step forward risks a Headshot proc, stopping you in your tracks while he chips away at you and your fragile illusions from a completely safe distance. Terrorblade's whole game is about hitting things, and Sniper is built to make that impossible without a perfect jump.

This dynamic defines the whole game. Terrorblade is forced to play around his Sunder and his team's initiation, hoping for a clean pick-off on the Sniper. He can't comfortably farm lanes or pressure towers if Sniper is alive. Sniper, meanwhile, can play a much more straightforward game. He positions far behind his tanks, uses his massive range to melt the Terrorblade before a fight properly starts, and saves Assassinate to cancel a Blink Dagger or finish a low-health target. The burden is entirely on the Terrorblade to find a way in.
