Storm Spirit vs Void Spirit

How this matchup plays

Committing on a Void Spirit often feels like a trap for Storm Spirit. The standard initiation of Ball Lightning into Electric Vortex can be negated by Void's Dissimilate, leaving Storm out of position and without his main disable. Void Spirit can then immediately counter with an Aether Remnant, locking Storm in place long enough to turn the fight around. This interaction makes it difficult for Storm to get the clean solo pickoffs he relies on to snowball, as Void can break the combo and put Storm on the back foot even when he’s the one starting the gank.

This dynamic forces Storm Spirit to play more cautiously. Instead of hunting Void directly, he often has to target squishier heroes and rely on his team to control Void. Meanwhile, Void Spirit feels more comfortable starting fights, knowing he has a reliable escape if things go wrong. The matchup isn't one-sided; a farmed Storm can still burst Void if he catches him without cooldowns. It's a contest of who gets the better jump, but Void Spirit's defensive tools give him a small but consistent edge in those skirmishes.
