How this matchup plays

Trying to set up a gank from the trees becomes difficult when Zeus is on the other team. Tusk relies on the element of surprise to roll in with Snowball and secure a kill, but Lightning Bolt provides easy and spammable true sight. This can reveal Tusk's position before he can commit, effectively fizzling the gank attempt before it even starts. The constant threat of being seen makes it much harder for Tusk to find the pickoffs his team needs to build a lead, as his initiation is often telegraphed and gives his targets time to react.

This dynamic forces Tusk to play more cautiously and rely on items like Blink Dagger to get on top of his target. A successful jump on Zeus usually means a dead Zeus, as he's very fragile. However, Zeus typically positions himself far in the backline, using Lightning Bolt to scout common flanking spots before Tusk can make a move. If Tusk fails to kill him instantly, the sustained magic damage from Zeus can be too much for Tusk's team to handle in a drawn-out fight, giving Zeus's side a slight edge.
