Void Spirit vs Windranger

How this matchup plays

Picking a hero who relies on landing one key stun can be difficult against Void Spirit. Windranger’s main tool for securing kills is Shackleshot, but Void Spirit's Dissimilate offers a reliable way to dodge it on reaction. This interaction can disrupt her laning phase and solo kill potential, as she can’t reliably set up her damage. Void Spirit can also use Aether Remnant to pull her from a distance, interrupting a channeled Powershot or making her a fixed target for his own burst damage.

As the game progresses, Windranger often wants to find a pickoff to start a fight, but Void Spirit himself is a very slippery target. He can use his spells to dive past her and onto more vulnerable supports before she can lock him down. To make this matchup work, the Windranger player needs a teammate to provide the initial lockdown, forcing Void to use his escape early. If he’s ever caught without his mobility spells available, he's fragile and easy for her to burst down with Focus Fire.
