How Abaddon and Anti-Mage perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Abaddon and Anti-Mage win 53.72% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 18,361 matches.
Trying to lock down and burst an Anti-Mage is often the main game plan, and Abaddon's kit directly interferes with that. A well-timed Aphotic Shield removes stuns or silences, letting Anti-Mage blink away from what would have been a certain death. This allows him to farm more aggressively and split-push with greater safety. On the other hand, the duo offers very little offensive pressure or lockdown in the early game. With both heroes being defensively oriented, they can struggle to secure kills or win a lane outright. The draft becomes entirely about enabling Anti-Mage, and if the enemy team can simply ignore him and run over the rest of your team, the synergy doesn't accomplish much.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
