Abaddon + Monkey King

Why this works

Teamfights tend to fall apart because of a fundamental clash in what these heroes want to do. Monkey King is an aggressive core who wants to dive deep into the enemy's backline, often from an unexpected angle. He thrives on chaos and isolating a target. Abaddon, on the other hand, is a defensive anchor. His abilities like Aphotic Shield and Borrowed Time are best used to sustain a frontline or save an ally who gets caught next to him. Monkey King's high-mobility, all-in approach means he's often too far away or gets bursted too quickly for Abaddon to provide a meaningful save.

This disconnect forces awkward decisions across the map. Early on, Abaddon lacks the lockdown to reliably set up kills for a roaming Monkey King. Later, if Monkey King finds a good Wukong's Command, Abaddon is faced with a bad choice: either abandon the rest of his team to try and support the dive, or stay back and watch Monkey King fight alone. Smart opponents will exploit this split, either bursting the isolated Monkey King or rolling over the part of the team that lacks its defensive support. This makes it hard to convert teamfight wins into objectives.
