Abaddon + Sniper

Why this works

Protecting a glass cannon like Sniper is Abaddon's whole game. An Aphotic Shield is often all it takes to turn a successful gank into a failure, as it purges off the initial stun and absorbs a good chunk of burst damage. This gives Sniper the window he needs to reposition or fight back. While Abaddon can't be killed easily during Borrowed Time, he becomes a major distraction, forcing enemies to choose between focusing an unkillable target or ignoring him while he spams his defensive spells on his team. This chaos is exactly what a backline damage dealer needs to thrive.

This dynamic allows the pair to play aggressively and secure map control. Sniper can siege towers with less fear of initiation, knowing his bodyguard can instantly save him. The enemy is forced to coordinate a perfect jump with enough lockdown and damage to overwhelm the shield and burst Sniper down before Abaddon can react. If they fail, they've likely overextended and blown key spells on a save, leaving them vulnerable. The strategy is straightforward, but it presents a clear problem that the opposing team has to solve, often giving this duo a slight edge in teamfights.
