How Ancient Apparition and Tinker perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Ancient Apparition and Tinker win 46.50% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 12,325 matches.
Teamfights expose the core problem with this duo. Both Ancient Apparition and Tinker want to contribute from a safe distance, but neither provides the lockdown or frontline presence needed to create that safety for the other. Tinker can pour out damage with rockets and lasers, but he relies on others to hold enemies in place. While Ancient Apparition’s Ice Blast is a great fight-ender, his own stun is conditional and not enough to peel for a focused ally. An aggressive enemy team can often run straight past the frontline and pick off whichever hero they choose, as one can't reliably save the other from a committed dive.

These rows use the last 30 days of quality-filtered ranked matches, all patches in that span combined — a wider window than the patch-scoped count above, so the per-rank match totals can exceed it.
