Why this works

Facing this lineup feels straightforward for the enemy. They see two stationary, item-dependent cores who both need to be protected. The core problem is that both Arc Warden and Sniper want to do the same job: sit in the back and deal damage after the fight has already started. This leaves your team without a natural frontline or a reliable way to initiate fights on your own terms. While Arc Warden can use Magnetic Field to try and save Sniper, it's a predictable, stationary defense that good opponents will easily play around. The draft becomes a puzzle that's almost impossible to solve with your remaining picks.

The laning stage and mid-game often feel cramped and slow. Arc Warden and Sniper are competing for safe farm, which starves the rest of your team and reduces your overall map pressure. An aggressive enemy will identify this greed and constantly force fights, knowing you can't respond effectively. Your team is forced into a very defensive posture, hoping to stall until both heroes have enough items to matter. More often than not, the game is already over by the time that happens because the enemy has taken complete control of the map.
