Beastmaster + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Playing for different timings can make this pair feel a little out of sync. Beastmaster is looking to build pressure early, using his summons to control the map and take objectives. Winter Wyvern, on the other hand, is a more reactive hero who excels at counter-initiation and saving allies. This can lead to moments where one hero is ready to fight and the other isn't in a position to contribute effectively. Their kits can also work against each other in teamfights. A well-placed Winter's Curse can accidentally negate much of Beastmaster's damage, as his summons and axes can’t hit the secondary targets.

This disconnect plays out across the game. Beastmaster wants to force fights and take towers, but Winter Wyvern’s ideal fight is often a response to the enemy’s aggression. While Primal Roar can set up a Winter's Curse, the pushback from the roar can sometimes make it difficult to catch the right targets. More often, a fight starts and the two heroes' main spells get used without a clear plan. Cold Embrace saving an ally is great, but it also blocks all of Beastmaster’s physical damage, which can sometimes allow an enemy to escape where another support’s save would not.
