Doom + Spectre

Why this works

Teamfights get a lot simpler for Spectre when Doom is on her team. Once Spectre commits with Haunt, the ensuing chaos can be hard to read. Doom's job is to find the single biggest threat—the support with a key save, or the core who can burst Spectre down—and remove them with his ultimate. With that hero silenced and taking damage, they are no longer a factor. This leaves Spectre free to chase down the remaining isolated enemies, cleaning up a fight that has been tilted in her favor from the start.

This duo requires some patience to get going. Doom often acts as the frontline and space creator, drawing attention while Spectre farms toward her own core items. The combo isn't truly online until both heroes have key levels and items. The opposing team's goal is to punish this greed by pushing towers early or forcing fights before Spectre is ready. If they can't end the game quickly, they have to play around the threat of a global initiation that deletes one of their heroes every time Doom's ultimate is available.
