Enigma + Phantom Lancer

Why this works

Teamfights often hinge on whether Phantom Lancer's illusions can survive long enough to cause chaos. Enigma helps with this. A good Black Hole can catch the heroes who would normally clear out the illusion army with their area-of-effect spells. This creates a small, crucial window where Phantom Lancer can safely close the distance and build up his damage on the disabled targets. Even a solo hero caught in the ultimate becomes an easy kill, as Enigma provides the specific, long-duration lockdown that Phantom Lancer lacks on his own.

The game plan revolves around Enigma's initiation timings. Until he has a Blink Dagger, the two heroes play separate games. Afterwards, their goal is to force fights around objectives, using the threat of the combo to secure map control. The enemy team is pressured to stay spread out, which makes it harder for them to defend or contest as a group. Their primary response is to find and burst Enigma before he can cast his spell, or have a hero positioned far away specifically to interrupt the channel.
