How Gyrocopter and Monkey King perform as teammates in Dota 2 7.41f, from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Gyrocopter and Monkey King win 43.68% of ranked matches when playing on the same team, over 7,024 matches.
Stacking Wukong's Command on top of Call Down creates a lot of overlap. Both ultimates serve the same purpose of controlling a large teamfight area, making it feel redundant to use them together. Before those abilities are available, the heroes don't set each other up well. Gyrocopter's Homing Missile is too slow to create a reliable opening for Monkey King to engage. In return, Monkey King provides a stun but lacks the longer, more defensive lockdown that Gyrocopter needs to survive and deal damage. Both cores demand high farm priority and want to be the centerpiece of a fight, but neither provides what the other is missing to make that plan work consistently.
