Gyrocopter + Shadow Shaman

Why this works

Holding a target down with Shadow Shaman's disables feels like it should be a free kill, but Gyrocopter struggles to convert it effectively. To add the heavy damage from Rocket Barrage, Gyrocopter must stand dangerously close to the shackled enemy, often putting him out of position. If he instead relies on Flak Cannon from a safe distance, his damage on the priority target is too low to secure the kill quickly. It creates a situation where Gyrocopter must either risk his life for the kill or contribute very little to the setup.

This core problem extends across the entire game. Shadow Shaman hits a major power spike and wants to force objectives with Mass Serpent Wards, but Gyrocopter often isn't ready to fight and still needs to farm. In large-scale teamfights, their kits don't protect each other. Shaman's single-target lockdowns are not enough to peel for a Gyrocopter being focused by several enemies. Likewise, Gyro's area-of-effect damage doesn't save a vulnerable Shadow Shaman who gets caught after using his spells. They end up fighting separate battles in the same space.
