Huskar + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Picking a save for Huskar often means finding a hero who can keep him alive while he's toe-to-toe with the enemy. Winter Wyvern’s Cold Embrace seems ideal at first glance, offering a strong heal and immunity to physical damage. The core problem, however, is that Huskar is disarmed for the duration of the spell. A Huskar who can't attack is not doing his job, and taking him out of the fight for several seconds, even to save him, can break his momentum entirely. The heal itself can even be a slight drawback, raising his health and reducing the attack speed he gets from being wounded.

This conflict leads to awkward teamfights. The Winter Wyvern is forced to choose between letting Huskar die or using a save that also neutralizes his damage output at a critical moment. Enemies can play around this by baiting the Cold Embrace and then switching their focus until Huskar is vulnerable again. While Winter's Curse can still offer a good setup for a teamfight, the specific interaction of their defensive abilities often feels clunky. The coordination required to get value is high, and the payoff is often lower than pairing Huskar with a support who can help him without pausing his assault.
