Invoker + Winter Wyvern

Why this works

Setting up for a big combo with Winter's Curse can feel like a trap for this pairing. While the spell groups enemies together perfectly for an Invoker's Cataclysm or Meteor, the primary target of the Curse is immune to all of Invoker's damage. This forces a difficult decision: either cast spells on the secondary targets around the immune hero, or try to time the damage to land the exact moment the Curse ends. This is a very small window, and it's easy to miss.

The success of this combination depends entirely on flawless timing and communication. If the Invoker throws out his spells too early, all the damage on the main target is wasted. If he waits too long, the enemies will have already scattered. The Winter Wyvern can try to use Cold Embrace to save an ally or even Invoker himself, but using their abilities together for offense is often a gamble. Because perfect execution is rare, the combination doesn't consistently lead to teamfight wins, making their joint performance feel quite neutral.
