Why this works

Facing this duo forces a difficult choice in fights. Lifestealer demands attention up close, often running at supports with Rage, while Sniper chips away from a safe distance. Their slows can stack up unpleasantly. Lifestealer’s Open Wounds makes a target easy prey for Sniper’s continuous right-clicks, and a well-placed Shrapnel can give Lifestealer the opening he needs to connect with his own target. It's a classic front-to-back setup where one hero creates an opening and the other provides the bulk of the damage.

The game plan is simple: Lifestealer goes in first, becomes the immediate problem, and draws focus. This buys Sniper the crucial seconds he needs to position and attack freely. This pairing's main weakness is its predictability. Both heroes deal primarily physical damage, so armor is a strong counter. More importantly, Sniper remains a fragile target. If the enemy team has good divers who can bypass the frontline and get on top of Sniper, Lifestealer doesn't have the tools to peel for him directly. Their success often depends on whether the enemy draft can ignore Lifestealer's pressure.
