Phantom Lancer + Razor

Why this works

Forcing an enemy core to fight can be a challenge, but Razor makes it simple with Static Link. While a target is drained and forced to deal with Razor, Phantom Lancer gets a clean opportunity to build up his illusion army. The armor reduction from Eye of the Storm can also give a small boost to the physical damage from PL and his copies, helping to wear down a single hero. This creates a focused, single-target pressure that can be effective if the enemy has no way to break the link or escape.

The main issue is that both heroes want to do similar things and share common weaknesses. Neither Razor nor Phantom Lancer provides the hard lockdown needed to guarantee a kill on a mobile hero. They are also both vulnerable to the same kinds of heroes: those with heavy area-of-effect burst damage can melt PL's illusions and Razor at the same time. The success of this pairing often depends more on whether the enemy team has the tools to counter them, rather than on their own inherent strengths.
