Razor + Zeus

Why this works

Trying to focus down a single hero often brings Razor and Zeus together. Razor's Static Link forces an enemy to either fight with reduced damage or run away, holding them in a bad spot. This creates a clear target for Zeus to unload his spells on from a safe distance. The slow from Razor's Plasma Field can also make it easier for Zeus to land his own abilities, and a global Thundergod's Wrath can secure a kill that Razor's chase might not have been enough to finish on its own. The combination provides a good mix of sustained and burst magic damage against one specific target.

In practice, this pairing is very timing-dependent. They don't offer much for each other during the laning stage, as both heroes are usually farming separate areas of the map. The synergy really shows up in the mid-game, when they can start moving together to pick off isolated heroes. However, the combo's effectiveness drops off if the enemy team has good saves, ways to break Razor's link, or multiple Black King Bars. Both heroes can struggle against lineups that are good at splitting up and avoiding those direct mid-game confrontations.
