Shadow Shaman + Tinker

Why this works

Spreading the map to maximize farm often conflicts with grouping up to take objectives, and these two heroes embody that conflict. Tinker wants to be everywhere at once, pushing out lanes and accelerating his own economy. He plays a solo game on a team map. Shadow Shaman's entire plan revolves around his team being present. He uses his disables to hold someone down for allies to kill, and then drops Mass Serpent Ward to take a tower with his team. These two game plans are fundamentally at odds, pulling the team in different directions.

The result is often a disjointed mid-game. Shadow Shaman might find a perfect initiation with Shackles, but Tinker is likely on the other side of the map and unable to contribute damage. Conversely, when the team groups to push with Shadow Shaman's wards, it slows down Tinker's farm pattern, which is his primary win condition. The game becomes a waiting game: either waiting for Tinker to get his items, or waiting for a rare moment where both heroes happen to be in the same place at the same time. This hesitation gives opponents plenty of time to organize.
