Sniper + Void Spirit

Why this works

Drafting both Sniper and Void Spirit together is a bet that your team can control the tempo of a fight. Void Spirit excels at diving the backline with Astral Step, creating chaos and forcing reactions. He can occasionally pull a target into Sniper's range with Aether Remnant, but that's not his primary function. Void Spirit's goal is to be a slippery, high-damage threat deep in enemy territory. This playstyle doesn't offer much direct protection for Sniper, who needs allies to peel for him and create a safe pocket from which to attack. He makes space by being a problem elsewhere, not by standing guard.

As a game unfolds, this pairing can feel very feast or famine. When your other heroes provide a strong frontline and lockdown, Sniper is free to right-click from a distance while Void Spirit dismantles the enemy supports. Against lineups with multiple heroes that can close the distance, however, the plan can quickly unravel. Void Spirit can't reliably save Sniper from a coordinated gank, and is often a high-priority target himself. The outcome often hinges on whether the other three heroes on the team can enable these two damage-dealers to execute their separate game plans.
