This damage amplification turns Sniper’s steady output into serious burst, making his Assassinate feel like it hits twice as hard. Witch Doctor's Voodoo Restoration can also be helpful for keeping Sniper topped off, allowing him to hold his ground against chip damage instead of being forced to retreat. It’s a simple partnership of lockdown and long-range firepower.

The game plan for this duo is to have Witch Doctor play bodyguard. He uses his spells to peel for Sniper or set up kills from the fog. Enemies will try to overwhelm this backline with coordinated gap-close, as both heroes are quite fragile and immobile. If the dive is successful, they both tend to die very quickly. The matchup often comes down to whether Witch Doctor can land his Cask or a good Death Ward before the enemy initiators can get on top of them. This makes the pairing effective, but fragile against the right lineup.
