Infernus wants a partner who can lock targets down long enough for the burn to fully cook. Seven fits that well, since holding an enemy in place turns a short flame tick into a full damage-over-time payout while they can't move to safety. Infernus in turn softens groups so Seven's follow-up finishes clean, and the early lane pressure buys tempo for both to snowball. He brings sustained area damage that keeps enemies from committing, opening space for a burst-heavy teammate to close.
