Abaddon vs Juggernaut

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst a key target with Omnislash often feels like a gamble when Abaddon is on the other team. If Juggernaut commits his ultimate on Abaddon, Borrowed Time can activate and turn the entire spell into free healing, completely wasting the cooldown. If Juggernaut targets an ally instead, Abaddon can often save them with a well-timed Aphotic Shield and Mist Coil. On the other hand, Juggernaut’s Blade Fury makes him immune to the slows from Curse of Avernus, letting him either escape or run down targets without being kited by Abaddon’s passive.

This standoff forces both heroes to play carefully around each other's major cooldowns. Juggernaut must either wait for Borrowed Time to be used or find a target far away from Abaddon. In turn, Abaddon has to position himself to be ready to save whoever gets initiated on. While Abaddon is excellent at defensive saves, Juggernaut generally offers more pressure on objectives like towers and Roshan thanks to his high physical damage and the sustain from Healing Ward. This gives Juggernaut's team a way to build a lead by controlling the map, even if killing heroes is difficult.
