Fights in this matchup often hinge on which hero gets their key spell off first. Pugna relies on channeling Life Drain to survive fights and sustain pushes, but Ancient Apparition's Ice Blast completely shuts down all healing. A Pugna hit by the ultimate becomes extremely fragile and loses his main source of survivability. On the flip side, Ancient Apparition is very vulnerable to Pugna's Nether Ward.
