Anti-Mage vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Looking at the lane, you might assume Razor’s Static Link would shut things down. While it makes the first few levels very difficult for Anti-Mage, the matchup shifts completely once he has some items. Anti-Mage doesn’t need to stand and fight; his Blink provides a clean, instant escape from Static Link, neutralizing Razor’s main way of killing heroes. Later on, Razor's identity as a spell-casting core with a large mana pool makes him an ideal target for a big Mana Void, which can turn a fight on its own.

The game becomes a race against the clock. Razor has a strong window to group up and pressure the map while Anti-Mage is still farming his core items. If Anti-Mage can survive this period and avoid falling too far behind, the dynamic flips. He can split-push safely, knowing Razor can't reliably catch him. In teamfights, Razor struggles to lock down a slippery target, whereas Anti-Mage can blink onto the backline, burn some mana, and look for an opening to use Mana Void on Razor himself.
