Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.

Controlling the map often comes down to who gets the jump. Bane has the ideal lockdown for a slippery target, with Fiend's Grip providing a long-duration hold that can completely neutralize Void Spirit during a gank or teamfight. A successful Grip is usually a death sentence. However, a sharp Void Spirit player has the tools to play around this threat. Dissimilate can be timed to disjoint the initial spell cast, and Resonant Pulse provides a shield that can absorb some of Bane's nuke damage from Brain Sap. This creates a tense standoff where baiting out key spells determines who wins the exchange, leaving the matchup feeling very even.
