Beastmaster vs Monkey King

How this matchup plays

Playing as Monkey King into this matchup is a constant headache. His entire game plan revolves around tree-based mobility and building up Jingu Mastery stacks, both of which Beastmaster directly counters. The Hawk provides persistent vision that prevents Tree Dance from being a reliable escape or initiation tool. In lane, the Boar's constant attacks and slow make it difficult for Monkey King to land consecutive hits on any single target, disrupting the core of his damage output before it even starts.

This dynamic gives Beastmaster control from the very start. He can bully the lane and then transition that into map control by scouting Monkey King's movements and ruining his gank attempts. In teamfights, if Monkey King commits with Wukong's Command, a well-timed Primal Roar can shove him right out of his own ultimate, leaving him exposed. Monkey King has to play away from Beastmaster's summons and vision to find a fight, while Beastmaster focuses on enabling his team to collapse on a scouted target.
