Broodmother vs Monkey King

Picking Monkey King into a game where Broodmother might appear is a calculated risk. The core of his laning power, Jingu Mastery, needs to hit a hero multiple times to activate, but Broodmother can send a wall of spiderlings to absorb those hits and block him off. While Monkey King has tools like Boundless Strike to clear a few spiders, he can easily get overwhelmed by the sheer number of units she creates. His kit is built to out-trade a single opponent, which is a problem when Broodmother brings an entire army to the fight.

The matchup often comes down to timing. Broodmother will try to pressure Monkey King relentlessly from the start, denying him the farm he needs for items that would let him clear her spiders. If she can build a big enough lead, she can take over the map before he becomes a threat.
