Clinkz vs Witch Doctor

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other is a bet on who can execute their game plan first. Clinkz excels at appearing from Skeleton Walk to delete a single target. An out-of-position Witch Doctor is an ideal victim. The reverse is also true. If Witch Doctor survives the initial volley or anticipates the attack, a well-aimed Paralyzing Cask can lock Clinkz down. Maledict followed by Death Ward will then quickly turn the hunter into the hunted, punishing Clinkz's fragile, damage-focused build. The fight is often decided in the first few seconds.

Early on, Clinkz can often find opportunities to pick off Witch Doctor during rotations or warding trips. The matchup gets more complicated as the game goes on and teams begin to group. Clinkz has to find a way to isolate his target, while Witch Doctor wants to stay protected behind his teammates, ready to counter-gank with his spells. Success for either hero depends heavily on vision control and positioning. A Force Staff or Glimmer Cape on Witch Doctor can be enough to foil Clinkz's attempts, forcing him to find a different angle of attack or a new target entirely.
