Doom vs Monkey King

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can out-maneuver and burst down Doom is a common trap. Monkey King relies heavily on his mobility and spell rotation to get kills, but a single cast of Doom's ultimate turns him off completely. Once Doomed, Monkey King has no access to Tree Dance for escape and can’t build Jingu stacks, leaving him vulnerable and with limited damage. Doom is usually durable enough to survive the initial jump, giving him the window he needs to land his disable and secure the kill for his team.

This means Monkey King has to play on a timer. He can be a huge threat when Doom's ultimate is on cooldown, using his superior mobility to find pickoffs and control teamfights with Wukong's Command. Doom's team will want to force objectives whenever his ultimate is ready, specifically looking to neutralize Monkey King at the start of a fight. The matchup forces the Monkey King player to be very mindful of positioning and vision, as getting caught is a death sentence.
