How this matchup plays

Ganking a hero tethered to Io is a frustrating experience for an Ember Spirit. The Tether provides a quick escape from Searing Chains, and Relocate can completely pull a target to safety mid-combo. This defensive power disrupts Ember's typical pick-off plan. However, Ember Spirit isn't an easy target for Io's partner either. A well-timed Sleight of Fist can dodge key spells and attacks, and Flame Guard often absorbs the damage from Spirits. This makes it hard for Io's team to pin down and eliminate the Ember.
