Gyrocopter vs Witch Doctor

How this matchup plays

Controlling the map and taking objectives is a massive challenge for Gyrocopter’s team. Witch Doctor’s abilities all seem tailor-made to exploit Gyrocopter's low range and lack of escape. Maledict turns Gyro's aggressive positioning with Rocket Barrage into a death sentence, amplifying all incoming damage on his fragile health pool. In larger fights, activating Flak Cannon requires Gyrocopter to stay relatively close and exposed, making him an ideal stationary target for a full-duration Death Ward. He simply can't out-damage the ward or run away from it easily.

This dynamic starts right from the laning phase, where a Witch Doctor can severely stunt Gyrocopter’s farm and force him onto the back foot. This early disadvantage snowballs into the mid-game, as a delayed Black King Bar means Gyro has no answer to the Maledict and Death Ward combination. The entire game for the Gyrocopter player revolves around trying to dodge or wait out these spells, forcing him to play reactively. The Witch Doctor can simply wait for Gyro to commit to a fight and then punish him decisively.
