Huskar vs Invoker

How this matchup plays

Trying to take over the map with an early lead can be difficult for Huskar when an Invoker is on the other team. A hero that wants to fight constantly at low health is a prime target for a global Sun Strike. In direct confrontations, Invoker has multiple ways to disrupt Huskar's single-minded aggression. A well-placed Deafening Blast can completely negate a charge by disarming and pushing him back, while Cold Snap can lock him in place after he uses Life Break to jump in, preventing him from attacking.

This makes the game a race against the clock. Huskar's goal is to hit his power spike quickly, group with his team, and pressure objectives before Invoker has the levels and items to be a real threat. If Huskar can't build a significant lead, Invoker eventually gains enough control to kite him easily in teamfights. Huskar's main path to victory is often through a Black King Bar, allowing him to ignore Invoker’s control spells for a crucial window and close out the game.
