How this matchup plays

Huskar's game plan to snowball through the mid-game hits a wall against Troll Warlord. The core issue is Battle Trance, which completely ignores Huskar's typical advantages. During his ultimate, Troll can't be disarmed by Inner Fire, and he can't be bursted down, allowing him to keep hitting and building Fervor stacks. This turns Huskar's low-health aggression into a liability. Even outside of that window, Troll's Whirling Axes apply a significant miss chance, crippling Huskar’s physical damage output in a straight-up fight and making trades feel impossible.

This dynamic prevents Huskar from controlling the tempo. He can't confidently jump on targets or force objectives because Troll Warlord can always turn the fight with his ultimate. Huskar is forced into a reactive role, trying to bait out Battle Trance and play around its long cooldown, which slows his momentum considerably. This gives Troll the space he needs to farm and scale. As the game progresses, Troll Warlord only gets stronger and eventually has no trouble running Huskar down.
