How this matchup plays

Applying damage over time should be the perfect answer to Huskar's aggression. As his health drops, however, Berserker's Blood grants him huge magic resistance, directly reducing the impact of Poison Nova. This creates a tense standoff. Venomancer needs to apply his damage before Huskar gets low enough to become too durable, while Huskar wants to reach that state but risks dying to the initial burst. The engagement hinges on that narrow window where Huskar is vulnerable.

This balance holds across the game. Venomancer can make the laning phase awful for Huskar, and a good ultimate can stall an entire mid-game push. But it's far from one-sided. If Huskar can get the jump on a poorly positioned Venomancer, especially with a Black King Bar, he can kill him before the poison really matters.
