Juggernaut vs Witch Doctor

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a kill on Juggernaut often comes down to timing a Maledict. His Blade Fury is a direct response; the spell immunity negates Paralyzing Cask's stun and blocks Maledict's damage ticks, allowing him to fight back or teleport away. However, Blade Fury does not remove the Maledict curse itself. Any physical damage Juggernaut takes while spinning will still amplify the final damage pop when Maledict expires. This interaction creates a tense duel where Witch Doctor needs follow-up damage and Juggernaut has to perfectly time his defensive ability.

Throughout the game, this matchup is a cat-and-mouse of positioning. Juggernaut is constantly looking for a chance to find and Omnislash a lone Witch Doctor, removing him before a teamfight begins. In response, Witch Doctor has to play from the back lines, waiting for an ally to lock Juggernaut down so he can apply his spells and channel Death Ward from a safe distance. The outcome of fights often hinges on which of these heroes can execute their plan first, leaving very little predictable advantage for either side.
