Lifestealer vs Medusa

How this matchup plays

Thinking this matchup through, it’s easy to assume Lifestealer's Feast would shred Medusa. While that’s his win condition, getting to that point is the real challenge. Medusa is a ranged hero who can kite, and her Stone Gaze forces Lifestealer to use Rage defensively simply to avoid being petrified. Using Rage to block the ultimate often means he doesn't have it to run through other spells, making him vulnerable to the rest of Medusa's team. This creates a standoff where Lifestealer wants to commit but can be punished for doing so.

The game becomes a race of timings and team execution. Lifestealer needs his allies to help him close the gap and lock Medusa down, allowing him to connect and do his work. Medusa, on the other hand, relies on her team to create space and peel for her, kiting Lifestealer until his Rage expires. Whoever's team better enables their carry's game plan usually dictates the outcome. The fight is rarely a true one-on-one, and success depends on which hero can force the engagement on their own terms.
