Picking one of these heroes into the other creates a calculated risk for both teams. Oracle has some of the best tools in the game for stopping a physical damage carry like Luna. A well-timed False Promise can completely absorb Luna's Eclipse damage, leaving her with her biggest spell on cooldown for nothing. Fate's Edict can also disarm Luna right as she wants to unload her glaive attacks. On the other hand, Oracle is incredibly fragile. If Luna and her team can find him out of position, he’ll die in seconds to her high physical damage before he can cast a single save.

This dynamic makes teamfights a tense game of chicken. Luna's success often relies on her team's ability to bait out Oracle's key spells or to initiate on him directly. She might need to buy a Black King Bar earlier than usual to avoid being controlled. For the Oracle player, the entire game is about positioning. Staying far in the backline, forcing Luna to overextend through his entire team to get to him, is his primary goal. The fight often hinges on which of these two heroes is better enabled by their team's draft and execution.
