How this matchup plays

Catching a hero with Reverse Polarity often feels like a guaranteed kill, but Oracle has all the tools to spoil the follow-up. A well-timed False Promise on the stunned target buys enough time to survive the initial burst damage, completely resetting the fight. Beyond his ultimate, Oracle can use Fate's Edict to disarm the carry that Magnus just Empowered, turning a huge damage threat into a non-factor for a few critical seconds. He can even purge the Empower buff entirely, weakening Magnus’s team for the entire teamfight.

This dynamic creates a constant mind game between the two players. The Magnus player must decide whether to try and catch Oracle in the initiation or bait out his defensive spells before committing. In response, the Oracle has to position perfectly, staying far enough back to avoid getting caught but close enough to save his core. The outcome of a fight often depends on which of these two heroes is better positioned or quicker on their cooldowns, making the overall matchup feel very balanced and dependent on execution.
