Monkey King vs Razor

How this matchup plays

Trying to build Jingu Mastery stacks feels impossible when Razor can apply Static Link and drain away all of Monkey King's attack damage. This completely neutralizes Monkey King's main source of burst and sustain in a direct fight. His entire pattern of trading and dealing damage is shut down before it even starts. The problem extends to his ultimate, as the soldiers in Wukong's Command deal damage based on his own attack power, which Razor is actively stealing. The result is an ultimate that looks intimidating but does very little.

This dynamic defines the matchup from the beginning. In lane, Monkey King can't trade effectively. Later, his attempts to jump on a target from the trees are easily punished if Razor is nearby. Monkey King is forced to either avoid Razor completely, which can be difficult, or wait for the perfect moment after Static Link has been used on an ally. Razor can play much more freely, confident that the enemy's primary physical threat can be disarmed at a moment's notice, forcing Monkey King into a passive and frustrating game.
