Monkey King vs Zeus

How this matchup plays

Hiding in the trees as Monkey King feels like a death sentence against Zeus. A single Lightning Bolt provides vision and forces you down, often at the worst possible moment. Even if you're trying to set up a gank across the map, Thundergod's Wrath will reveal your position to the entire enemy team, completely ruining the element of surprise. This constant threat of being seen neuters Monkey King’s ability to scout, split push, or find a safe angle for initiation. He loses his core mobility advantage before the fight even starts.

This forces Monkey King to play on the ground, which is not where he wants to be. His teamfight contribution with Wukong's Command is also heavily diminished. Zeus can stand safely in the back and melt the soldiers with his chain lightning and passive damage, making the ultimate a non-factor. Monkey King’s only real shot is to buy a Black King Bar and try to close the gap to burst Zeus directly. But a smart Zeus will always position himself far away, making it incredibly difficult to reach him before getting obliterated by magic damage.
