Oracle vs Phantom Assassin

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other is a bet on execution. Phantom Assassin wants to instantly delete a key target, and Oracle is designed to stop that from happening. The entire exchange comes down to reaction time. Oracle has a disarm with Fate's Edict to stop her attacks, and his ultimate, False Promise, can make her target immune to death for a short time. If Phantom Assassin can find and kill Oracle before he can cast his spells, her teamfight is won. If Oracle survives the initial blink, however, he can completely shut her down for a crucial window.

This dynamic becomes the central point of most fights as the game progresses. Phantom Assassin will often be forced to build a Nullifier specifically to break through Oracle’s defensive spells and items. In response, Oracle has to position perfectly, staying far behind his cores and waiting for the inevitable dive. The outcome of a fight often hinges on whether he can save his ally, or if PA can kill him first. It’s a duel of cooldowns and reflexes where a single misstep on either side can decide the engagement.
