Oracle vs Sniper

How this matchup plays

Trying to land a disable on Sniper from the back lines can be a challenge for Oracle. Most of Oracle's spells require him to get into a range that Sniper is designed to stay out of. This means it's hard for Oracle to lock down or disarm Sniper with spells like Fortune's End or Fate's Edict before he gets a few shots off. While False Promise is a powerful tool to save an ally from an Assassinate attempt, it forces Oracle into a reactive role, saving people from Sniper rather than setting up kills on him.

Throughout the game, this range difference dictates the engagement. Sniper will typically position far behind his team, making him a difficult target for Oracle to reach without putting himself in danger. As a result, Oracle often finds himself focused on keeping his own cores alive through Sniper’s sustained damage, rather than being able to proactively disable key targets. This doesn't shut Oracle down, but it does limit his offensive options and can give Sniper's team a slight advantage in controlling the pace of teamfights.
