Jumping on a lone Witch Doctor seems like an easy kill, but the fight is often decided before Void Spirit even arrives. If Witch Doctor anticipates the gank and lands a Paralyzing Cask, Void Spirit’s aggressive mobility suddenly becomes a liability. Getting caught with Maledict active means even if Void Spirit escapes with an Astral Step, he’s likely to die moments later. Conversely, Void Spirit can use Dissimilate to dodge the stun projectile or survive the initial burst from a Death Ward, giving him the window he needs to secure the kill. The entire interaction is a test of reflexes and prediction.

This dynamic plays out in every teamfight. Void Spirit wants to find an angle onto the backline, while Witch Doctor has to position defensively, holding his cooldowns for the inevitable dive.
