Head-to-head Dota 2 7.41f win rate from ranked matches.
In Dota 2 7.41f, Winter Wyvern wins the Winter Wyvern vs Io matchup: Winter Wyvern beats Io in 51.54% of 12,799 ranked matches.
Thinking Winter's Curse is an automatic win against a tethered pair is a common trap. While cursing Io's partner can be devastating, forcing them to attack their own ally, the matchup is rarely that simple. A good Io player leverages Relocate to control the map and avoid committing to fights where Winter Wyvern has a clean shot. If a core does get caught, Io can still try to save them with a quick teleport out. On the other side, Wyvern’s Cold Embrace can be a strong defensive tool to save an ally from Io’s partner. The entire fight often comes down to positioning and whether Wyvern can find the right moment before Io finds a better fight elsewhere.
